With nearly three decades of experience in publishing, Claire Roberts knows the industry from both the publisher side and the agency side of the business, and has negotiated many major contracts for authors. She has held executive positions at Penguin Random House, HarperCollins, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and worked most recently at a major literary agency, Trident Media Group. At Trident she was Vice-President and Managing Director of the Foreign Rights department and developed her own client list. Claire Roberts has handled the international literary careers of many authors, including winners of the Pulitzer Prize and the Booker Prize. Among the many authors she has worked with are Marilynne Robinson, Esi Edugyan, Justin Cronin, Michael Ondaatje, Marlon James, Jokha Alharthi, Elizabeth George, former Google chairman Eric Schmidt, Ayana Mathis, Jon Krakauer, Paul Harding, and W. Bruce Cameron.

The traditional publishing house is one of Germany's best-known advice publishers and has been based in Leipzig for 75 years. Emerging from the former Verlag für die Frau, the largest fashion and advice publisher in the GDR, today's BuchVerlag für die Frau successfully continues the book programme. Today, it is a constant on the German book market as a whole. The program is strongly positioned in the culinary field, which includes the cookbook classics "We cook well" and "Das Backbuch" as well as the Thuringian kitchen library. We are an independent publisher, founded at the beginning of 2009 in the city of Montevideo, the southernmost capital of America. Throughout the years, we have been publishing fictional and non-fictional narratives, children’s books, political essays as well as photography books, under the collections named: Us (Nosotros), Stone like You (Piedra como tú), Walter’s Library (Biblioteca de Walter) and About Narratives (De Narrativa). Our titles are issued in printed and digital versions, which can be found at digital stores such as Amazon and Bajalibros, among digital libraries and the main bookstores in Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.
