Den Druck habe ich immer noch.« Dessen Wert ist in all den Jahren nicht gestiegen – anders als bei der »Surfing Nurse« des amerikanischen Malers Richard Prince, einem Bild, das Kagge in einer New Yorker Galerie entdeckte und für 50.000 Dollar kaufte. Er hätte es gerne behalten, aber dann sah er, dass »alle reichen Russen, Chinesen und Afrikaner unbedingt auch Richard Prince haben wollten«, also verkaufte er das Bild vier Jahre später für das Hundertfache. Ja, man kann sehr viel Geld auf dem Kunstmarkt ausgeben und erlösen, man muss aber nicht, sagt Kagge. Wer neugierig bleibt, seinem Urteil traut, eine gute Portion Geschmack mitbringt, sich Trends widersetzt und ein bisschen Glück hat, kann auch als Einsteiger zum erfolgreichen Sammler werden. Since spices are high valued and export oriented in nature it is imperative to keep the levels of pesticide residues below tolerance limits in view of the standards set by the importing countries. Hence the book on Organic Spices is timely and covers all aspects of organic spice production. The topic includes historical spice trade and importance of spices in food chain. Brief account on organic agriculture movement in the world and its present status and opportunity for organic spices in the world market are given.
