Author Biography
Trained at the Slade School of Fine Art and at the Courtauld Institute of Art under Anthony Blunt, Philippa Abrahams is an artist, an art conservator, a museum education consultant and teacher, and an expert on historic materials and painting and drawing techniques. She has made a speciality of trying to understand by doing rather than theorizing.
