Description
The era of psychoanalysis as central European innovation ended with the Nazi discrimination and Freud?s death in exile in London 1939. The USA, London and Paris became the new centres. Developments that fundamentally renewed the "classic Freud" started there. This resulted in Ego Psychology and Neo Freudian Psychoanalyses in the USA, the Object Relations Theory in England and Structuralist Psychoanalyses in France. The book describes the developments in the years 1940-1975 and finalises with a view on the post war developments in Germany and Austria.
