Publishing over a hundred new titles a year in a wide range of fields, Dar al Saqi is renowned for releasing progressive and ground-breaking works, as well as the best in new Arabic literature and non-fiction. Its authors include Naguib Mahfouz, Mohammed Arkoun, Adonis, Nawal Al Saadawi, Shirin Ebadi and Jabbour Douaihy. Among its bestsellers are A Small Death by Mohamad Hassan Alwan (International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2017) and The Slave Pens by Najwa Bin Shatwan (shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2017), Throwing Sparks by Abdo Khal (winner of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction 2010) and After bin Laden by Abdel Bari Atwan.
Dar al Saqi has also established itself as the Arab publisher of western phenomena such as The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins, On Violence by Hannah Arendt, Wild Swans by Jung Chang, History of Reading by Alberto Manguel and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.
Dar al Saqi established a children’s and young adults list, Saqi Kids, in 2012, which releases 15 titles a year.
