        Zhu Yingchun is a book designer and artist based in Nanjing, China. He was awarded silver medal at the Leipzing Book Fair for 'the most beautiful book in the world' in 2017. Honoured with many titles, including the 'Chinese Government Award for Publishing' and the 'Outstanding Editor' prize, Yingchun nevertheless credits nature as his sole source of inspiration, and is at his happiest while studying the patterns and rituals of bugs and flowers in his own wild garden. His creations express his inquisitive approach to the world and his belief that every part of nature has a distinctive beauty.

      • The Shoestring Publisher

        The Shoestring Publisher is an independent publisher of illustrated books on India’s history and cultural heritage, with a particular focus on the visual arts including architecture, fine art, design, film, photography and textiles. Founded by Meera Ahuja in 2006, it has received the Indian Tourism Award for Excellence in Publishing for its panoramic limited editions The Monumental India Book (acclaimed as one of the world’s ten best coffee-table books of 2009) and The Sacred India Book. Its most recent publications are America: Films from Elsewhere (2019) and the monograph Mrinalini Mukherjee, published in conjunction with the exhibition “Phenomenal Nature: Mrinalini Mukherjee” at The Met Breuer, NY, in 2019.         Dar El Shorouk is one of the most prominent publishers in the Arab region. For almost 50 years, its name has been associated with quality, free thought and creativity. Dar El Shorouk boasts the region’s most distinctive list of award-winning titles and authors.

      • Leopold - Ploegsma - Condor

        Leopold was founded in 1923 and evolved into a children's-and young-adult publishing house in the 1950's. Leopold establishes a lot of collaborations with museums, different organizations and the government. The first children's book ever published is still in print: Johan Fabricius' Java Ho! The Adventures of Four Boys Amid Fire, Storm, and Shipwreck. Leopold hosts a lot of famous Dutch authors, for example the classic works of Tonke Dragt (The Letter for the King, The Secrets of the Wild Wood). Several popular brands are also published by Leopold, like Frog (Max Velthuijs) and Alfie the Werewolf (Paul van Loon). The beautiful Leopold picture books by renowned illustrators like Annemarie van Haeringen, Wouter van Reek and Ingrid Godon are taking a flight due to the fantastic teamwork with museums. Not only classic authors and popular brands are a big part of Leopold. A younger generation of authors and illustrators is building a vast oeuvre. Books like Zeb. (Gideon Samson, Joren Joshua) and Fright Night (Maren Stoffels) shake up the world of children's literature. Ploegsma has been part of the Dutch publishing scene for well over a hundred years. The publishing house was founded in 1905 by Johannes Ploegsma and has been specialising in children's books since the 1960's: adventurous and humorous fiction and non-fiction books for children of all ages. These include many classic titles, such as the books by Astrid Lindgren (Pippi Longstocking) and Arnold Lobel (Frog and Toad), as well as books by contemporary and very popular authors like Mirjam Oldenhave (Mister Twister), Marjon Hoffman (Flora), Yvon Jaspers (Tess and Tommy), Reggie Naus (The Pirates Next Door), Vivian den Hollander, Janny van der Molen and Caja Cazemier. Many of these authors have been translated. Even though a lot has changed the past hundred years, Ploegsma's love for beautiful books is still going strong.

        Fukuinkan Shoten Publishers, Inc. has started its business in the year 1916 as a bookseller and have specialized in the publications of children's books and books about children for about 70 years. One of the major characteristic of our publication is our monthly picture books series which were launched back in 1956 starting with the “Kodomo no Tomo”. Many masterworks have been produced such as “Guri and Gura” and “Everyone Poops” through this series.Apart from the monthly picture books, we have introduced a lot of works which have been endeared by children all over the world for a long period of time such as the “Kiki’s Delivery Service” series by Eiko Kadono (2018 Hans Christian Andersen Award Winner for Writing). We have always hoped to publish picture books and story books that are unforgettable and stay in our readers’ hearts for many years to come which is an unchanged goal we aim for.
