Ediciones Uniandes, Universidad de los Andes’s press, in Bogotá, Colombia, publishes scholarly books and music CDs, thus making available the research and arts production of professors and researchers within the university. Our aim is to consolidate a rigorous catalog with high academic and editorial standards, and to publish relevant titles while promoting collaboration with other key institutions, both in Colombia and abroad, and intercultural exchange; we also support editorial policies such as open access. Our publishing company was founded in 1957 by Paolo Boringhieri focusing on science, mythology and ethnology. In 1987 Giulio Bollati joined the company, taking with him his expertise in history, philosophy , and literary fiction.Since then , the two souls of the publisher scientific studies and humanities have followed intertwined paths. In 2009 Bollati Boringhieri was a cquired by Gruppo editoriale Mauri Spagnol (GeMS) a group including 11 publishing companiesand 20 imprints. I'm representing modern Israeli Russian-speaking writer Jonathan Vidgop. This author's first book was granted fund of Israeli president and received recognition in Israel in 1999. The author writes rarely. There are two very different books offered. One, a result of 20 years of collecting historical material, is a collection of more than 100 very funny short stories of sexuality and attitude to Jews of famous personalities of different countries and times. The other book, very recent, is a a grotesque phantasmagoria, novel "Testimony", whose style, if any, can be compared to Susskind's Perfume. See description of the books below.
