Pioneers (Al Rowad) Publishing House was established in 1986 as a bookstore and a distributor. In 2006 it moved into the world of publishing and started new business as a publisher. It has 120 titles for the family, young adults, children and has recently started publishing novels. It has the Arabic copyrights of some American Publishers such as Adams Media and some German copyrights from Wissenmedia. AlRowad Publishes in Arabic and English. Kassem Al Tarras, owner and director of Al Rowad Publishers. He has a BA in English Literature from Damascus University. He is certified as a Teacher Trainer of English from the University of Delaware, USA and he is certified in ISBN from the International ISBN Agency in London. He works now as a director of Al Rowad Publishers, he is an English teacher and a member of new Curricula of English committe in the Ministery of Awqaf in Damascus and he is the directory of the ISBN Syrian Agency in the Syrian Publishers Association.
