Founded under lockdown in 2020, Sharp Rights publishing consultancy handles rights for independent publishers, agencies and authors, including The bks Agency, HopeRoad Publishing, Fledgling Press, FROM YOU TO ME, Little Island and Fine Feather Press. Founder Andrew Sharp is the former group rights director at Hachette Children's Group in London. He was The Bookseller Rights Professional of the Year in 2019. Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority, earlier Sharjah Centre for Documentation and Research, was established by resolution no. (4) of 2010, issued by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Muhammad AL Qassimi, member of the Supreme Council, the Ruler of Sharjah. In 2016, H.H. Ruler of Sharjah issued resolution no. (4) of 2016, on the establishment of Sharjah Documentation and Archives Authority. Furthermore, the Authority shall oversee the management of current documents and mediate documents with concerned parties. The Authority represents the local body concerned with all matters of documents and archiving and it abides by the best international standards for preserving and maintaining documents. "How to be a Big Good Wolf" is our latest picture book based on a series of illustrations that had won the illustrator "The ASEAN Children's Book Illustrator Award of Excellence". Through one of our projects, Storymakers League, we have a talented group of young Asian authors ages 18 and below (from 9 countries) who have written stories for us to publish. The anthologies and novels written by them are perfect for school libraries around the world. We are constantly on the look out for more young authors around the globe, nurture them and have them write for their peers wherever they are. We are also looking for distributors worldwide to get these books into libraries at schools to inspire more kids to appreciate the written word and encourage them to start writing stories too.
