Seemann Henschel publishes carefully edited and attractively designed books on the visual and performing arts. The Imprint E. A. Seemann publishes elaborately produced illustrated books about the Bauhaus, Classical Modern Art, and reference books for teaching artistic techniques. In our children's art programme BILDERBANDE (freely translated: art gang), individually illustrated books are published which impart with inspiring energy and beautiful details the colorful world of the arts to children.

Literature Promotion Grants to promote abroad Catalan literature (fiction, non-fiction, children’s and YA books, poetry, theatre and graphic novels), including participation in international literary festivals and presentations and promotional plans for works in translation. Recipients: Publishers, Literary Events Organizers. Illustrated Books Grants for the publication abroad of illustrated books by illustrators settled in Catalonia or the Balearic Islands. Recipients: Publishers. Samples & Booklets Grants to translate samples of works written in Catalan to produce booklets for promotional purposes. Recipients: Catalan Publishers, Literary Agencies. Translators in Residency Grants for translators working on translations from Catalan to stay from two to six weeks in Catalonia. Recipients: Translators. Travel for Writers and Illustrators Grants for writers and illustrators to finance travel costs to carry out literary activities, to which they have been invited. Recipients: Writers in Catalan and illustrators with at least two books originally published in Catalan.

      • Institut d'Estudis Baleàrics

        One of our main goals is the consolidation of the Balearic Islands as a structured cultural market, the promotion of the islands' music, performing arts, literature and visual arts by means of grants, international actions and formative seminars in cultural affairs. The Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics coordinates, alone or in partnership with other departments of the Government of the Balearic Islands, the Institut Ramon Llull or the Institut Català d'Empreses Culturals, the institutional presence of the Balearic Islands in strategic events for the promotion of our culture overseas. Every year, our area of literature, thought, comics and illustration calls for grants to cover travelling and accommodation expenses of Balearic authors, and expenses for publishing books and producing promotional material for Balearic authors.
