Get Fresh Books Publishing
Get Fresh Books Publishing is a non-profit, cooperative press devoted to amplifying diverse voices in poetry and making the publication process accessible to marginalized communities. Our primary objective is to provide opportunities for underrepresented voices by eliminating economic and societal barriers, such as submission fees and contests, which may inhibit marginalized voices from contributing to the literary conversation. As a cooperative press, we encourage manuscript submissions from BIPOC, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities and people living with mental illnesses. By doing so, we explicitly reject any “ism” or phobia which seeks to suppress the voices of those who receive insufficient or inadequate representation in literature. In the four short years of our founding, we have been able to preserve our commitment to diversity and inclusivity by publishing the work of 12 talented and distinct poets, whose poetry cover a wide range of topics from ethnicity, sexuality and religion to immigration, suicide and discrimination. Our press’s cooperative process of integrating the ideas and skills of our poets, editors and publisher have given us the ability to bring fresh and diverse voices into the literary world. With the help of donations, grants and private investments, we have been able to publish each literary work without charging a single submission fee to ensure that poets and writers of all ages, ethnicities, sexual orientations, abilities, and economic statuses would have their voices heard.

mikrotext is a publisher for texts with attitude and for new narratives, founded in 2013 in Berlin by Nikola Richter The independent publishing house focusses on new literary texts that comment on contemporary questions and allow insights into tomorrow. The texts are inspired by discussions on social media platformes and reflect today’s global debates. All titles are published digital first. A selection is available in English. In 2020 and 2019, mikrotext was awarded the German Publisher Award by the Federal Ministry of Culture and Media.

Quipu is an Argentine publishing house with a wide catalog for readers from 3 up to 18 years old. We have genres such as novels, short stories, poetry, theater, YA Lit, comic, graphic novel, picture books, illustrated books, pedagogy and reading initiation activities. Our mission is to reach all readers with stories that promote imagination, values and serve as triggers for debate regarding relevant issues in both childhood and adolescence.We are distinguished by the authors and illustrators in our catalogue, the quality of the content and materials such as paper, binding and special terminations, as well as the selection and editing work that we carry out with the readers in mind.We have distribution in several Spanish-speaking countries and have sold translation rights of some of our titles being various of them awarded both in Argentina and abroad. Tarquin produces books for recreational mathematics, and for students and teachers in schools. We have a near 50 year history of enriching mathematics as well as papercraft and origami titles. Many of our 240 titles have been translated into all the major languages of the world. But as a small publisher, we understand other small publishers and can tailor rights deals appropriately and economically. We have 12 titles that are new in 2020 and where rights are available.

The National University of Quilmes is an Argentinian public university that was founded in 1988. The editorial policy is considered one of the key axes for the university projection and integration with the educational environment. The Institutional Editorial Program consists of the Publishing House, the publishing units of the Social Sciences, Administration and Economics Departments and of the Virtual University of Quilmes. The catalogue has a mainly academic profile with living collections and periodicals that contribute to social and scientific debates.
