About the Author
Dr. Li Zan, master students supervisor, the Director of Department of Breast Oncology Plastic Surgery (Section of Head and Neck Surgery) and the Director of Department of Oncology Plastic Surgery Research Office of Hunan Cancer Hospital (Hunan Province Cancer Hospital and Affiliated Cancer Hospital of Xiangya School of Medicine, Central South University). Since 1992, Dr. Li has been engaged in the clinical work and basic research of head and neck cancer surgery and oncology plasticsurgery. He is proficient in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of various head and neck tumors and breast tumors and good at combining oncology surgery and plastic surgery organically which improves the survival rate and living quality of tumor patients. In 2005, Dr. Li launched a varietyof methods for breast reconstruction after breast oncology surgery, especially the free deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap breast reconstruction, which was at the advanced level in China.
