        Blond Boy; Red Lipstick

        by Geoff Bunn

This is a love story, deliberately pitched at a mainstream audience and at a level far removed from the dark and often sordid world of transsexual prostitution on Bois de Boulogne in Paris. The idea is to subtly lead the reader into this setting and give them an insight into the life of a transsexual.  In this first book, we meet the Narrator and Alley – a vivacious young boy with bleach blonde hair and red lipstick. The two begin a gentle romance. Issues such as homophobia are only touched upon, rather than explored fully. By the time readers finish the book, they will know the characters, be interested in them, and they will have some empathy towards and a little more understanding of transsexuals.  Blond Boy; Red Lipstick is the first of two, where the sequel, already planned out, will be a darker story (albeit with a happy ending).

Transsexualität im Spannungsfeld von Gefühl, Körper, Arbeit und Macht

        Eine soziologische Fallstudie

        by Rodat, Simona

Simona Rodat investigates social practice of „doing transgender“ within work and power relations. She not only examines the influence of transsexuality on professional careers and power positions in the narrower sense, but also examines how transsexuality is processed at the level of social action and interaction, identity and the body, including the emotional level (gender display). The author proceeds in two steps: In the first part, a theoretical framework is developed that includes aspects of power and action theory, but also dimensions of the cultural coding of gender as well as a consideration of transsexuality as a gender process. In a second step, she presents her empirical study in which she identifies specific constellations that do not or do not easily correspond to previous sociological studies. Her innovative approach is illustrated by methodological 'triangulation' and underpinned by the evaluation of the data.

        22 Seconds

        by Eva Mejuto

What is not said is as if it did not exist, grandfather hadtold him one day, and it was time to exist. Alex, until then, had only lived behind the scenes. Now there was no going back. The camera was asking him to speak. Before he had time to think, he connected the camera to the computer. Twenty two seconds. That was the time it took to upload it to the networks. 22 seconds recounts first-person events from the childhoodand adolescence of a transsexual boy who, from his earliestyears, knows that his gender identity does not match the sex assigned to him at birth. A work that seeks to make visible, from empathy, a group ofhistorically silenced and denigrated people who fight for the laws - and society - to stop considering them sick.

        La duquesa de Escobedo

        by Sergio Telles

Here's something that, with a wink of eyelashes full of chaquira seduces us. Just as this book seduces us. And the lives shown in the narrative poems, or poetic stories, that appear here. Sergio Telles, with his work, stands before our eyes with a parade of characters out of the ordinary: homosexuals, thieves, transsexuals, prostitutes, drug addicts, mythomaniacs Telles forces us to see. It forces us to feel. It forces us to accept that, naked, we are all the same and looking for the same thing. Telles elegantly handles every word that leads us to the deepest decay. In this lies its literary value, in the dichotomies: the more beautiful, the more pain is shown and the greater the decay.

A book you won’t be able to put down until the very last page. A book that’s hard to forget.

        Four Seasons Of Love

        by Nacarid Portal

In this book, the author leads us through a mirror of emotions, which shows us a path full of ups and downs, where the only option you have is to face the ghosts of the past and move on with life, that life which is filled with both pain and love. Four Seasons of Love is an inward journey that goes beyond the very limits we set ourselves. It is about getting to know your true self again, and be able to find the ability to love your scars. It is about accepting death as a part of life, and that love is not something that has to stay with us to be eternal. Christopher is a singer and a young music composer who is about to release an album with his band. His life revolved around parties, alcohol and luxuries after the death of his twin brother. He writes his feelings in a diary as a way to exorcise his pain. And that diary holds the key to the story of his Ijfe, and the way he lost Matias in a tragic accident, which ultimately led him to emotional isolation. It is a realistic novel that has captured the attention of thousands of people, as many could relate to the characters and the love story between Christopher and Charlotte. As he, who wasn't used to the feeling of romantic love, and whose life's motto was"Love me today, cuz III leave you tomorrow," fell in love with someone who was  involved with someone, and whose interest in him was rather for economic and emotional stability than true love.
