Die Jerusalem Review hat sich zur Aufgabe gestellt, post-biblische Texte aus Vergangenheit und Gegenwart in englischer Sprache zu veröffentlichen.Das Journal enthält daher auch Werke moderner israelischer Dichter wie Abraham Ibn Ezra und Berl Pomerantz (jüdischer Dichter aus der Vor-Holocaust-Ära). In der Abteilung Prosa sind eine lange Novelle von Yoram Kaniuk sowie Holocaust-Memoiren von Arye Stav zu finden.Des weiteren enthält das Journal Arbeiten jüdischer Autoren aus den USA und Großbritannien, darunter Paul Oppenheimer, Alicia Ostriker, Mark Strand, Elaine Feinstein und Charles Bernstein. In jeder Ausgabe der Jerusalem Review wird außerdem ein nichtjüdischer Dichter oder Autor vorgestellt, der sich in einem besonderen Dialog mit der jüdisch-israelischen Geschichte und Kultur sowie der hebräischen Literatur befindet. In dieser Ausgabe wurden die Gedichte des polnischen Autors Krzysztof Karasek ausgewählt und ins Englische übersetzt. In der Abteilung Essays finden Sie ein längeres Essay von Amos Funkenstein über theologische Tendenzen im Widerstand gegen den Holocaust und Essays von Yehoshua und Gabriel Moked über jüdische und israelische Identität.Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die kulturelle Lage des mittleren Ostens, die in einem Interview mit dem ägyptischen Nobelpreisträger Naguib Mahfouz vor einigen Jahren geführt wurde, doch angesichts der aktuellen Beziehung zwischen Israel und Ägypten sowie den anderen arabischen Nationen von aktueller Bedeutung ist.In diesem Abschnitt befinden sich auch Gedichte von zwei israelisch-drusischen Dichtern, Naim Araidi und Nazi H'ir, sowie eine Übersetzung des großen persischen Sufi-Dichters und -Mystikers Jalal el-Din Rumi. Esta publicación se distribuye a abonados en Israel y en el extranjero, a bibliotecas de judaica de todo el mundo y a revistas literarias y escritores judíos y no judíos de destaque. El comité de redacción del número 7 de «The Jerusalem Review» incluye algunos de los mejores escritores y miembros del mundo académico en Israel y en el extranjero. En concordancia con el marco ideológico básico de la revista, publicamos en ella traducciones al inglés de textos en hebreo postbíblico de todas las épocas. La sección de ensayos incluye un ensayo en gran escala de Amos Funkenstein sobre La teología frente al Holocausto, así como ensayos de A. B. Yehoshua y Gabriel Moked sobre la identidad judía e israelí. MicroDosis is a diary written during the last two years in which Enrique Bunbury decides to experiment in his conscience the ingestion of microdoses of psilocybin. The genre chosen by the author to narrate this inner journey is poetry. In this way Bunbury consolidates his incursion into literature after the appearance in 2021 of his first collection of poems Exilio Topanga (La Bella Varsovia) adding to the aesthetic features present in that one an atmosphere of psychedelia and a critique of "the mental norm" of the system. MicroDosis is an experiential and intimate book that contemplates the daily routine with eyes that open without hesitation the doors of another perception. Space and time acquire a new depth, just as they do in Krishnamurti's diaries, grafting onto its passages the heritage of the American beat generation, the oneirism of David Lynch and a very filmic plasticity that runs through Los Angeles with a neural network in flames. History of a silent revolution

In 1919, Walter Gropius founded the Staatliche Bauhaus in Weimar (Germany): a place for construction. The project was born as a utopian school in which to train, integrating various artistic disciplines through the object and architecture, the new craftsmen that would be demanded for a sweeping beginning of the century. An idea that would evolve into design from its headquarters in Dessau with the famous "art and technology: a new unity". However, the intellectual recognition of the Bauhaus is a fact that historically focused on its male protagonists, forgetting a number of women artists, designers, set designers, painters or architects trained there who contributed decisively to this "revolution", and whose work in the imaginary about the Bauhaus has remained invisible, despite developing their respective careers with an unquestionable international impact. With this work, Marisa Vadillo fills this gap, completing the reality of the school by recounting the outstanding role of these fundamental authors in an unrepeatable episode of twentieth-century art.

The present book is a re-creation of one of Rumi's famous anecdotes. The distinctive feature of this book is that a coffeehouse painting is used for its illustration. Coffeehouse painting is one of the Iranian painting styles which is implemented by oil paint. One of the applications of coffeehouse painting is in Naghali (narration). Naghal (a narrator) is someone who recounts Iranian myths and epics in verse and prose with the help of music and slides of coffeehouse paintings live to the audience. The tradition of Naghali (narration), which is registered as an intangible cultural heritage in UNESCO is one of the oldest methods of Iranian storytelling. The parrot and the merchant, with its special illustrations, seems to be the same Naghali (narration) who has been written this time and turned into a book. A merchant living in distant lands has a beautiful talking parrot that he is very interested in. This parrot has been with him all the moments of the merchant's life and all this time he has been imprisoned in a silver cage with a golden bar. The merchant, who has to go to India for trade, asks all his relatives what souvenirs they want. When it comes to the parrot, it says, "If you go to the forests of India and see other parrots that are free and live happily on the trees, ask them what I should do with this grief of loneliness and confinement". The merchant goes to the forest and conveys his parrot message to the Indian parrots. Upon hearing this, one of the parrots falls from the tree and dies. The merchant returns regretful and upset and describes what he saw to his parrot. Upon hearing this story, the merchant’s astute parrot also falls from the gold bar and dies. The merchant opens the cage with tears and grief to get the parrot out. Unaware that the parrots have participated in making a clever plan.
