Tourism resources - the availability and sustainability of the supplies tourism relies on - have long been a topic of interest for the industry. Often, however, they are considered in silo. There is a key need now for the development of a conceptual framework for resource analysis, integrating all aspects of social, cultural and natural resources, as well as the importance of local conditions. In this way, tourism can be generated that is both productive and sustainable. Based on and beginning with Norwegian scholar Sondre Svalastog's conceptual and theoretical work, this book introduces a selection of new case studies exemplifying the usefulness of this approach and bringing it into the English language for the tourism industry as a whole. This book: - Reviews local conditions and resources, climate change concerns, and the differences between types of tourist attracted to particular regions; - Considers how best to maximise potential and production, ensuring that both the host community and tourists benefit; - Provides a wide-ranging selection of case studies covering topics such as urban heritage, national parks and niche, location-specific tourism products. In a constantly changing world where the tourist industry is large and economically important, tourism research needs to be in a process of constant renewal of risk analysis, oriented towards society, culture and nature at the same time. "I am Jugoslovenka" argues that queer-feminist artistic and political resistance were paradoxically enabled by socialist Yugoslavia's unique history of patriarchy and women's emancipation. Spanning performance and conceptual art, video works, film and pop music, lesbian activism and press photos of female snipers in the Yugoslav wars, the book analyses feminist resistance in a range of performative actions that manifest the radical embodiment of Yugoslavia's anti-fascist, transnational and feminist legacies. It covers celebrated and lesser-known artists from the 1970s to today, including Marina Abramovic, Sanja Ivekovic, Vlasta Delimar, Tanja Ostojic, Selma Selman and Helena Janecic, along with music legends Lepa Brena and Esma Redzepova. "I am Jugoslovenka" tells a unique story of women's resistance through the intersection of feminism, socialism and nationalism in East European visual culture.
