      • CAMELOZAMPA snc di Segato F. e Saorin S.

        CAMELOZAMPA is an independent children’s books publisher, founded in Italy in 2011 and winner of the BOP 2020 - Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year (Europe). Our aim is to publish fresh and inspiring picture books and novels that help young readers in pursuing happiness, understanding diversities, becoming aware of themselves. One of our strong points is the rediscovery of international masterpieces that never appeared on the Italian market or that have not been available for long time. Alongside these redescoveries we carry out a creative production work, thanks to Italian and international authors and illustrators who share with us the fascinating and unpredictable path which leads to the birth of a children’s book. We think independent publishers have the task to cultivate bibliodiversity, in order to get narrations to their readers, through images and words that can amaze, excite, reflect, offer unexpected glimpses and open windows on far-off or nearby different worlds.

        Alejandro Amenábar

        by Barry Jordan, Nuria Triana-Toribio, Andy Willis

        Since the release of his first feature (Tesis) in 1996, Alejandro Amenábar has become the 'golden boy' of Spanish filmmaking, its 'King Midas', - a bankable star director - whose brand virtually guarantees quality, big audiences and domestic box office success. He has directed three of the biggest grossing movies in Spanish film history and has enjoyed enormous international and critical acclaim (including an Oscar for Best Foreign Film for Mar Adentro/The Sea Inside, 2004). With Alejandro Amenábar, Jordan provides the first full-length study in English of Amenábar's shorts and feature films. Known for his spectacular imagery, sophisticated editing, memorable sound-tracks and challenging subject matter, Jordan shows how Amenábar makes a serious and socially aware, exportable 'middlebrow' cinema, designed for global audiences. There is also a detailed analysis of his engagement with popular film genres as the basis for an auteur cinema, and Jordan incorporates a reappraisal of Amenábar's auteurism as fundamentally decentred and shared. The book will be an essential resource for teachers, students, scholars and fans of Amenábar. It will also appeal to a wider readership, such as those who work in the film, media and culture industries as well as those who have a general interest in the best of Spanish, European and World cinema. ;

        Multiple Choice

        by Alejandro Zambra

        Wie lebt es sich, wenn man Tag für Tag durch ein Minenfeld aus Lügen muss? Wenn man die Nähe anderer Menschen sucht und dabei weiß, dass man weder der eigenen Familie noch der Liebe vertrauen kann? Und was lernt man – und wie lernt man zu denken –, in einer politisch fragwürdigen Gesellschaft, die Zuflucht nimmt in apathischer Gemütlichkeit? Alejandro Zambra macht das spürbar und begreiflich – mit einem Bravourstück interaktiver Literatur: einem Multiple-Choice-Test, der sich am chilenischen »Eignungstest für höhere Bildung« der Jahre 1967 bis 2002 orientiert. Multiple Choice ist ein philosophischer Abenteuerspielplatz, ein hintergründig unterhaltsames Buch, und die Behauptung, dass es ein Roman sei, ist so waghalsig wie die Behauptung, dass es keiner sei. Wie lebt man, wie liebt man als junger Mensch in einer Diktatur? Alejandro Zambra – der »Magier der kleinen Form« (Deutschlandfunk Kultur) – betreibt ein schillerndes literarisches Experiment, in dem das Poetische und das Politische auf beunruhigend komische Weise zur Deckung kommen.

        Ferngespräch

        Stories

        by Alejandro Zambra, Susanne Lange

        In diesem Buch wird zurückgeschaut: auf die allerletzte Zigarette, den ersten eigenen Computer, auf Rückeroberungsversuche, hirnverbrannte Jobs, die Schule. Von liebenden, lügenden, kriminellen Männern, die die Paraderollen versäumt haben, die niemand Papa nennt, Chef oder Schatz. In einem Chile, für dessen Heldengeschichten sie zu allem Überfluss auch noch zu spät kamen. Ihre elf Stories finden sich in diesem Buch, jede ein Ferngespräch mit der eigenen Vergangenheit und eine Suche nach der Zeit, als Ängste wie Träume maßlos und unbegründet waren. Alejandro Zambra schreibt die neueste Weltliteratur, und Ferngespräch ist ein schillerndes Meisterwerk. Mit einer Art des Erzählens, die kein Vorbild kennt, führt er uns an den Abgrundkanten von Alltag und Geschichte entlang – lässig, witzig und wehmütig.

        Fast ein Vater

        by Alejandro Zambra, Susanne Lange

        Als er nach neun Jahren seine erste Liebe wiedersieht, erhält Gonzalo eine zweite Chance. Und mit ihr eine Aufgabe: Vater sein. Denn während er sich in all der Zeit mit Haut und Haaren der Poesie verschrieb, bekam Carla einen Sohn. Der ist jetzt sechs, liebt Katzenfutter und wirkt mindestens genauso überrumpelt. Nicht nur deshalb will Gonzalo es besser machen als all die nichtsnutzigen Männer aus seiner Familie, sondern auch um seinem eigenen Scheitern endlich etwas entgegenzusetzen. Doch trotz allem bleibt er immer nur fast ein Vater. Und als er mit seiner Poesie eine zweite Chance erhält, scheint nichts naheliegender als der Verrat an sich und seinen Idealen. Ein Roman über das Gewicht der Liebe, über Vaterschaft und die tragischen, die komischen Befreiungskämpfe eines Mannes, der etwas anderes erwartet hat. Alejandro Zambra ist der große Virtuose der lateinamerikanischen Literatur, Fast ein Vater sein unbestrittenes Meisterwerk.
