Wiederholt werden von diesen Kreaturen die Schrecknisse der Kindheit und Jugend angesprochen. Als Alice, im Erdgeschoss des Hauses angekommen, Frankensteins Monster begegnet, erwacht sie aus ihrem schrecklichen Traum.
