MARS IS

The remarkable beauty of Mars is revealed in astonishing photos and inviting text that will expand assumptions and understanding of the Red Planet. People have wondered about the mysterious planet of Mars for centuries. Over time, scientists discovered Mars has weather and seasons, just like Earth. But curious earthlings wanted to know more. Does Mars have deserts? Volcanos? Or signs of life? Could people live there someday? Scientists decided to take a closer look. They built a powerful camera and loaded it onto a rocket. The rocket blasted off on August 12, 2005, and seven months later, the camera began orbiting Mars. It sent surprising photos back to Earth. Those incredible pictures showed the world what Mars really is.
