        by Xavier-Laurent Petit

Amouksan is the oldest living person in the world. She lives in Siberia, on the edge of the world, near the spirit realm. Nowadays, all she has left are memories, and three precious objects that have been given to her: a leather talisman, photographs, and a magnificent dress she has only worn once, a very long time ago. Her trapper father wished to have a son, so that he could teach him how to hunt deer in the winter, and salmon fishing in the summer. That is how he came to raise Amouksan as a boy. But that year, they discovered together a giant who came all the way back from the ice ages. A Mammoth. It will have them embark on the most incredible journey of their lives.

Apres Minuit - After Midnight Vol.1

Too Much Salt in the Spaghetti

        by Clémentine Mélois

All of the codes of the fantasy genre are revisited: werewolves, gnomes, mermaids, ogres, vampires, mummies... It all started because my dad put too much salt in the spaghetti. Rosalie, my little sister, and I got thirsty in the middle of the night and that’s when we heard a noise outside. So we crept outside to take a peek (even if Rosalie is little). And that’s how we found out that our next-door neighbor (who is also our teacher) was a werewolf! Let me tell you, a werewolf wearing a flowery dress and lavender perfume is strange to say the least! But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Let me tell you what happened next...

        Dagfrid

        Thor-oughly Unfair

        by Agnès Mauthieu Daude

“By Thor, if I have kids some day, they’ll be free to do as they please!” Dagfrid has no desire to help prepare the chiefs’ banquet. It may be an honor, but it’s also unfair. Because in the Viking world, the girls have to cook stinky fish while the boys train to become warriors or seafarers. As for Dagfrid’s brother, it looks like he’s preparing for a future just lazing about. In the meanwhile, the banquet won’t cook itself...

        Little Vampire Vol.1

        The Horror Film

        by Joann Sfar

Little Vampire as a hero of a novel! We’d dreamt of this moment and Joann Sfar made it happen! It all started with a horror film. “You’re too little, Michel,” Little Vampire had warned me. But we went to see The Commando of the Living Dead anyway... The Nazi zombies were super scary, but since it was just a movie, it didn’t bother me that much. The problem is that they came back that night, in my dreams! So I created a door and they left. Whew! Except that I didn’t know where that door led. Then Marguerite came and told me to hurry: terrifying zombies had just shown up on Little Vampire’s doorstep...
