        Red Paper Kite

        by Books From Australia

Red Paper Kite is a boutique independent publishing company based in Perth, Australia. Created by French illustrator Sandra van Doorn, RPK is inspired by her childhood memories: ‘When I was a child I used to scribble and doodle in all my books. It got me into much trouble but I firmly argued it was meant to be that way.’ Our aim is to focus on the creative influence of picture books by sharing the illustrator’s process and adding colouring pages to all our books. We are giving children {and grown-ups as well!} permission to doodle and add to the narrative, giving them space to be the illustrators or writers. Our readers truly become part of the story. It’s a fun experience!
