        Encounter

        by Fer Broca

In these times of change and transformation, we have faced, individually and collectively, our deepest fears, discovering how vulnerable and fragile we are. The technological revolution that has drastically altered our way of communicating, the risks of climate change, the ongoing pandemic, and the resurgence of fear from a continental-scale war remind us of the illusory nature of control and the fragility of our sense of security. "Encuentro" is a response to our new vulnerability: a voice that speaks, shouts, or whispers what the ancient memory of peoples has passed down to us. Through shamanic practices applicable to daily life and a simple yet profound presentation of the basic principles of this ancestral wisdom, Fer Broca teaches us how to merge our personal experiences and face our fears with the help of a living tradition that is constantly evolving. This book is both personal and social, informative and inspiring, practical and introspective, designed to help us find meaning in times of crisis.

        The Two Hemispheres of Lucca

        by Barbara Anderson

Written in a straightforward tone, Argentinian journalist Barbara Anderson tells the story of her son, Lucca, and the trip his family took with him to India for a futuristic treatment for the cerebral palsy he suffered from birth. Telling the story of the trip is also telling the story of how Barbara and her husband deal with the challenges of raising a child with an irreversible diagnosis. But the trip to India was life-changing…for everyone. Lucca became one of the first children to take two 28-day treatments with Indian scientist Rajah Kumar, in 2017 and 2019. Kumar is the inventor and developer of a groundbreaking neurogenesis treatment using Cytotron, a revolutionary technology. Lucca’s story does not end at the treatment, as Barbara championed the idea of bringing Cytotron to Mexico.

        5h 21m

        by Gabriela Couturier

5h 21m is a literary essay that reflects upon running and marathons, trying to answer essential questions, such as: why and to what purpose does a person put on a pair of sneakers and runs. This is not a training manual or a book about the techniques of long distance running. Using running as a prop, the author talks about issues of youth, health, travels, and death. This is also an excercise in creative writing, and how it intersects with certain types of athletic pursuits. Also, the title refers to the 5 hours and 21 minutes which were the authors first registered time running the marathon’s distance of 26.2 miles.
