Carlos María Domínguez wurde 1955 in Buenos Aires geboren und lebt seit Ende der 1980er Jahre als Autor und Journalist in Montevideo. Seine 2002 veröffentlichte Langerzählung Das Papierhaus wurde in 20 Sprachen übersetzt und war in Deutschland ein großer Erfolg.;
