Author Biography
Triunfo Arciniegas was born in Málaga (Colombia). He is a writer, playwright, illustrator, and photographer. For many years he was a school teacher in rural areas of Colombia. He has published many books and become one of the most important authors of Children’s and YA literature of Colombia and Latin-America. Among other awards he has won the Enka Price of Children’s and YA Literature, Parker Price of Children’s and YA Literature, and one of his books have been selected for IBBY’s list of honor. / Álvaro Sánchez is an artist, a pedagogue, and an expert on children’s human rights. For a couple of years, he illustrated the covers of a collection of books for YA. He coordinated projects for the Rafael Pombo Foundation, where he worked with children.
