Author Biography
Raquel Castro (Mexico, 1976) is a Mexican writer, screenwriter, translator and journalist. She obtained a BA in Journalism and Communication at National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). She was awarded the National Journalism Prize in 2000 and 2001 as part of the Diálogos en confianza TV show team in Canal Once. Her texts have been included in magazines such as Tierra Adentro, Letras Libres and Monolito. She has published several children and young adult novels, as well as short stories in various anthologies. In 2012 her novel Ojos llenos de sombra won the Gran Angular Award. Nowadays she works in the historical archives of the Documentation and Research Jewish Center of Mexico (CDJUM).
