Author Biography
Dieter Jüdt studied illustration and book design, has published several graphic novels of his own (most recently "Das große Rauschen" with author Verena Postweiler) and was nominated twice in the category "Best German Comic Publication" at the International Comic Salon.
He regularly illustrates for newspapers and magazines such as Süddeutsche, TAZ or Mare and is a member of Poste Aérienne, a German-Belgian collective of illustrators and book artists. He is also involved as the editor of "45 - A Single Cover-Album", a reader on the subject of illustration and pop music.
Together with Andreas Rauth and Falk Nordmann, he curates Jitter's Wunderblock, an interdisciplinary series of events on the theme of "image".
Dieter Jüdt has held numerous lectureships and teaching assignments focusing on "Drawing/Illustration", "Storytelling" or "Visual Storytelling" at German and international universities. Since 2014, he has been a visiting professor for illustration at Jishou University, China.
