Unrest
by Emma Côté
Description
Mortician Mylène Andrews is driving a hearse across the USA, reading unsent postcards from her estranged and recently deceased mother in the cemeteries she visited before she died. Mylène’s mother struggled to understand her daughter’s preoccupation with death. After Mylène left to attend mortuary school, she never looked back.
Now, after her mother’s own passing, Mylène has the opportunity to both read, and write, all the things left unsaid between them—all on the back of some postcards.
