Marketing Information

2016 Marketing Objective:

1. 80,000 sales of True Calling

2. 20,000 sales of other books in the series

3. Add 10,000 new subscribers to mailing list

My marketing plan includes:

Ongoing promo of True Calling continues as my magnet book, and the novel that draws people to my fully completed series.

True Calling was a Bookbub featured book on 29th August 2015 and it generated 40K in downloads in the six week period after the promo, and generated 4K in paid sales of all other books in the same period. Sales and downloads remain at a decent consistent level to date. In 2016 I plan to grow this further.

I've promoted extensively using all the following methods:

• Blog events - tours, cover reveals, interviews, blitzs.


• Featured on promotional sites like FreeBooksy, EReaderNews etc.


• The book is available on Wattpad to try to engage the largely teenage audience.


• Active management of ARC/Review list to grow the reviews on all sites.


• Use of Netgalley to generate reviews, enhance discoverability, and build my ARC list.


• Keyword maximization on Amazon.


• Goodreads Giveaways.


• Goodreads R4R/R2R participation.


• Huge focus in 2016 to grow author subscriber list.


• Huge focus in 2016 on targetted advertising using Facebook, Twitter and Google ads.

My marketing and promotional plan is a work in progress that will be maintained and developed on a daily basis.

As the market changes, I need to stay abreast of developments so I'm constantly growing my audience and my sales. I follow a lot of blogs for authors (e.g. Joanna Penn) to ensure I'm kept updated.

With that aim in mind, I am currently participating in two highly reputable online marketing courses for authors - myfirst10kreaders.com and selfpublishingformula.com Both courses are run by highly successful Indie authors Nick Stephenson and Mark Dawson.

My main focus in Q1 of 2016 is to apply the learning from both courses, as well as continuing to write the next few books in my Saven series.
