Irene Vidi, a distinguished lady in her sixties, is a translator for the prestigious Leopardi Editions, run by her friend Álvaro Azcurra. Almost blind and hunted by her son Ignacio, she decides to live her job, sell her possessions and return to her native Venice. In the middle of the preparations to leave the country she meets Rafael Leona, a charismatic young man who has lost his way, and with whom she allows herself to have a romance, to astonishing consequences for them both. But before she leaves she has important unresolved business.
Pablo Di Marco challenges social, age and genre stereotypes and faces the unexpected with the expertise of someone who understands his characters as if they were old acquaintances. Between Buenos Aires and Venice, Triptych of abandonment tells about the end of an era of golden publishing. From its atmosphere comes off a nostalgic halo that reminds us of the greatest Latin-American novels of the twentieth century.

Author Biography
Pablo Hernán Di Marco
was born in Buenos Aires in 1972. He authored the novels The spilled hours (winner of the XXI Literary Ategua contest in Spain), and Spiral (finalist in the XIX “City of Badajoz” Novel Price in Spain). He is a literary proofreader and correspondent in Buenos Aires for the Books and Letters Magazine from Bogotá, where he publishes the column “A coffee in Buenos Aires”, with interviews to writers, editors and librarians.
Triptych of abandonment won the XIII International Biennial of Novel “José Eustasio Rivera” in Colombia.

It is our wish to recover de act of reading as something to enjoy, that can reach new readers every day. We publish fiction. Currently we have two collections: “Living dead”, which gathers recovered works, literary treasures physically absent from the market. And “Avalanche”, which consists of contemporary literary fiction from national and international authors. It’s our goal to broaden our seal to other latitudes, which is why we look forward to be present at the main fairs worldwide.
