To the left of the law. Political mobilisations of law and justice in France (1968-1981)
by Liora Israël
Description
Based on a rereading of the major trials and cases of the 20th century, Liora Israel shows that the law is not neutral and can be considered as an instrument at the service of sometimes radical social struggles. Looking back over this recent history provides a better understanding of the current dynamics linking law, justice and politics, whether it be the militant uses of the law or the forms of tension between judicial authorities and political power.
