Author Biography

Fanji Gu is a professor and doctoral tutor of School of Life Sciences, Fudan University. Once served as a director of the Chinese Biophysics Society and a director of the Chinese Society of Physiological Sciences. He is currently a consultant to the Shanghai Branch of the European and American Alumni Association, a honorary president of the Illinois Alumni Association Shanghai Branch, and a member of the National Committee of Terms on the Validation of Terms in Science and Technology. As an organizer, he won the third prize of national natural science award twice, as a participant he won the first prize of National Natural Science Award and the ministry of education science and technology progress award. In 2013, he won the achievement award presented by the 4th international conference on cognitive neurodynamics. After retirement, he mainly engaged in the creation and translation of science related to neuroscience, published 6 books, won the second prize of Shanghai Science Popularization Education Innovation Award in 2015, the third prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2016, the second World Chinese Science Popularization Award, etc.
