Description
After his parents are murdered by Austrian Fascists, eleven-year-old Ernst is taken in by the Patosek family. He becomes a member of the Viennese resistance group “The Whites” led by Toni Patosek, and also a trusted friend of little Franzi Patosek. When the group is discovered and most of its members are executed, Ernest also loses his new family.
In 1944, in the clinic “Am Spiegelgrund,” he narrowly escapes the notorious Nazi doctor Heinrich Gross and thereby a certain death.

Author Biography
Luis Stabauer was born in 1950 in Seewalchen am Attersee, and works as an author both there and in Vienna. He is occupied with contemporary questions, especially with people and movements from Europe and Latin America. In 2011-12 he graduated from the Academy for Literature in Leonding. Since 2006 he has held prose and poetry writing workshops throughout Austria. Luis Stabauer is a mebmer of the Interest Group for Authors and Authoresses and a founding member of the literary group “Textmotor” in Vienna.
