The monster War representes the events of Russia's military aggression in the eastern regions of Ukraine in 2014, and the book is full of optimism and confidence that light will always come after the darkness. To further celebrate young readers the book is full of interesting games and tasks. It is an ideal reading for children of preschool and primary school age.

Author Biography
Julia Kosivchuk is a Ukrainian writer, singer, and artist from Bukovyna region, now living and working in the USA. Yulia is involved in charity — she is an "angel" of Marta Levchenko`s charitable foundation in Chernivtsi to help mothers, children, and especially children with cancer. Julia's recognizable paintings of angels, which she sells at auctions help to raise funds to give children a chance for life. Julia is the author and performer of her own songs, of collections of poetry in Ukrainian, of short essays, and most of all her work is aimed at children — from her fairy tales to her poignant stories on social issues, to her poems. Julia also illustrates her books with her own paintings. She often publishes bilingual books in Ukrainian and English. Some of her most famous works are The War and Little Veera and Mama with the Broken Spring.
