The Viper’s Death and other short stories
National Award for Short Srory 2019
by DIMITRIS KANELLOPOULOS
Description
In his first collection of short stories Dimitris Kanellopoulos writes about the reminiscences of his homeland in an effort to preserve the darker aspects of life. Narrating stories from the past, the author tries to describe a reality that escapes us because we tend to remember past times with nostalgia. Kanellopoulos brings to life a cruel yet simple and beautiful world, where people were full with passion and instincts. In his short stories he attempts to capture these people’s essence and make their voices heard.
