Valhalla is the biggest comic book success ever in Denmark and is now complete in five new luxury compilations, published in connection with the 40th Anniversary in 2019. The series is sold either as 15 individual albums; 5 compilations, each containing 3 albums as well lots of extra material, and finally a luxury gift box-set, containing the 5 compilations.
The series takes its point of departure in the myths from the Nordic mythology and Madsen/Kure have with a sophisticated level of finesse, personified the gods, as well as a lot of the other central mythical characters.

Author Biography
Peter Madsen (b. 1958) is an illustrator, author, filmmaker and speaker. He had his first comic strips published at the age of 15 and has drawn ever since. He is most notably known for the iconic comic series, Valhalla, which has sold more than 500.000 copies in Denmark over the years and has been translated into 10 languages. He is also the author of the picture book series, A Troll’s Life (Troldeliv, published by Alvilda). He lives in Silkeborg with his family.
Henning Kure (b. 1953) is one of the co-authors of the iconic comic series, Valhalla, which he developed together with Peter Madsen, Hans Rancke og Per Vadmand. Henning Kure is an autodidact expert in Nordic mythology and apart from the Valhalla-series, he has published several scientific articles on mythology. Henning Kure has influenced the Danish comic scene broadly, and was among other things editor on the Donald Duck books in Denmark.
