Author Biography
Sheila Alvarado (Lima, 1979) artist and writer. LGTBI activist. She has eight books, written and illustrated, five individual exhibitions, a dozen awards in various artistic branches, and has participated in 50 collective, national, and international exhibitions. Nominated in 2016 for the Eisner Awards, for City of Clowns, a graphic novel co-authored with writer Daniel Alarcón. In 2017, she won the LGTBQ Cultural Activism Support Fund for Diversity funded by the European Commission and Hivos, and published The Waltz of Kites, Illustrated Poems with which he won the V biennial of children's poetry of ICPNA.
