Author Biography

Dr. Elizabeth Ogando-Rivas is a neurosurgeon graduated from the Hospital
General de Mexico. After completion of her neurosurgery training, Dr Ogando has
received additional training in Neuro-Oncology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgeries.
Currently, she is at the Mc Knight Brain Institute – University of Florida, her research
focuses on optimizing the use of checkpoint inhibitors in combination with adoptive
cellular therapies and artificial intelligence to improve brain tumor patient outcomes.

Dr. Jesus Q. Beltran is a functional neurosurgeon & biomedical researcher at the
Unit of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, General Hospital of Mexico
(GHM), Mexico. Academic collaborator of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at
GHM. Invited teacher of Neurobiology Graduate Program at the Center for Research
and Advanced Studies, Mexico City, Mexico. Member of National Researchers
System of Mexico.

Dr. Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa is currently a named William J. and Charles H.
Mayo Professor, Chairman of the Neurologic Surgery Department and Director of
the brain tumor stem cell laboratory at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. He focuses on the
surgical treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors, with an emphasis on
motor and speech mapping during surgery. He further specializes in the treatment
of patients with skull base tumor using a transsphenoidal endonasal approach with
surgical navigation and/or endoscopic techniques.
