Author Biography

Zoryana Zhivka (pseudonym of Zoya Zhuk), born in 1983 in Kyiv, is a writer, literary critic, editor and compiler of a number of Christian children stories collections. Zoya graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with a degree in Philology. Zoya began writing poetry at the age of 12, with her first publications at the age of 15. Zoya’s work was published in magazines such as Stezhinka, Odnoklassniki, Malyatko, Zernyatko, Krylati, Our Faith, etc., as well as in several thematic collections. Zoya is the author of works for Christian Reader as well as  the book Seed of Hope (on the subject of the Holodomor of 1932-33). In 2002, she won the competition Winter Patterns of Children's Creativity for the best literary short work about Christmas.

Olya Haidamaka is a Ukrainian artist born in Kyiv. She received her basic art education at the Kyiv Art School M. D. Leontovich and graduated from the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, majoring in clothing design.
