Author Biography
Heinz Janisch was born in 1960 in Güssing in Burgenland. He studied German and Journalism in Vienna. Since 1982, he has been working as a freelancer for ORF radio and designs and presents radio programs. He writes both children's books and books for adults.
Gerhard Haderer was born in Leonding near Linz in 1951. For twelve years he worked as a graphic artist and illustrator for advertising agencies. In 1985 he lost interest in this industry and began drawing cartoons and caricatures. His first works appeared in the small Salzburg satirical magazine " Watzmann", then regularly in several newsmagazines. In addition to a series of cartoon anthologies, Gerhard Haderer also draws and writes books with picture stories. His book "Das Leben des Jesus" (The Life of Jesus), published in 2002, triggered strong international reactions. Since 2002 "MOFF - Haderers feines Schundheftl", a comic project in the classic piccolo format, has been published monthly. Gerhard Haderer's graphic work has received many awards and his works are shown in solo exhibitions in German-speaking countries.
