In the early Jurassic, in what is now Yunnan, China, the newly emerging dinosaurs were trying to explore the world, in an effort to make breakthroughs in numbers, species and geography. A Panguraptor named Li An after suffering from the sudden earthquake and the subsequent death of his parents, forged a deep friendship with a Yunnan dinosaur named Dian Zhi who accidentally saved him in the earthquake. The novel tells about the delicate and sincere friendship between Li An and Dian Zhi. With Li An’s company and encourage, Dian Zhi stepped out of the shadow of childhood and eventually became the local king.
