The whole story is permeated with pure and gentle love and a pleasant atmosphere, but in some chapters, it still gives out solemn, tragic, and powerful emotional strength. Telling the whole life of the author’s mother, the book also depicts that of her grandparents’ and maternal grandparents’ families, three generations in total, in the era back then.
