Author Biography
Mo Yan now is a professor at Beijing Normal University. In October 2012, he won the Nobel Prize in Literature for "the fusion of psychedelic realism with folk tales, history and contemporary social reality". He is the first Chinese writer to win this award. Mo Yan's main works so far include eleven novels such as "Frogs", more than one hundred short and short stories, many dramas, operas, and film and television plays; there are also collections of essays, speeches, and dialogues. His works have been translated into more than 50 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, Russian, Korean, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish, Hungary, and Arabic.
