Anna Wigley's poems have already been widely published in magazines such as Poetry Wales, Poetry Review and New Welsh Review, and was also featured in the recent anthology Oxygen (Seren), but this is her first solo collection. Her work, which focuses on the mysteries and intricacies of the natural world, betrays a rare maturity and honed skill. Her influences range from D. H. Lawrence to Ted Hughes and Seamus Heaney, but Anna Wigley's poems are ultimately very much her own. She is poet of substance and significance, and there's no doubt about it - this is a first collection which will stand the test of time.
