Author Biography

Emma Long gained a BSc Honours Degree in Hotel and Catering Management from Oxford Brookes University in 1995. In 1998, after several years working for the Swallow Hotel Group as an Assistant Manager, she set up her own Birmingham-based catering business and ran it for 15 years.

Emma's career as an author commenced in 2012 when her first cookery book Quick and Easy Homemade Meals was published. Emma wrote a further 100 recipes and this second cookery book More Quick and Easy Homemade Meals was published in 2014.

The Bad Apple is Emma's debut novel. Her love of reading encouraged her to put pen to paper and explore the genre of creative writing. Her career to date has provided plenty of material with which to formulate her first work of fiction. As well as being an avid reader she is a keen tennis player, gardener, and enjoys playing the guitar and drums. She lives in Bournville, Birmingham.
