Author Biography
Vasyl Karpiuk is an Ukrainian writer, poet, and publisher. He writes for children and adults and is the author of a famous series of children books on the Ukrainian folk hero Oleksa Dovbush. The first book of the series was featured in the Book of the Year 2020 selection according to PEN Ukraine and was recognized as one of the best of the year. Vasyl’s work focuses on the culture and history of the Carpathian Mountains. An unusual Christmas in the Carpathians is another book by Vasyl available on our catalogue.
Olesia Sekeresh is a Ukrainian-born visual artist specializing in illustration. She studied graphic design at the Transсarpathian Art Institute. Her work embraces various media from editorial illustration and posters to book design, from monumental graphics to art installations. She is passionate about discovering new art techniques.
