Author Biography
Liu Haiqi is the vice president of the Shandong Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Writers Association, a member of the Children's Literature Committee of the Chinese Writers Association, and an expert enjoying the State Council special allowance. His major works include fairy tales such as The Adventures of the Acaudal Mouse, Father Tree, The Fairy Tales in the Bean Field, and The Lights, as well as novels like The Summer with Pigeons, Valiant Young Soldiers, Horses on the Street, and The Fenglei Mountaintop. His works have won the 9th and 11th National Outstanding Children's Literature Awards and the China Excellent Publication Award, and have been selected for the lists of "50 kinds of books loved by the public" and 100 kinds of excellent books for teenagers across the country recommended by the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film, and Television. Moreover, some of his works have been translated into Arabic and French for publication.
