Author Biography

Shaleen lives with her family and two silly dogs in Nairobi, Kenya. She has a great love for writing. Her other passions include books and travel. One of her favourite places to visit is the beautiful Kenyan coast, where she has been lucky enough to witness the most amazing sight of green turtles hatching. This was great inspiration for writing the Wildlife Detective book, “The Case of Targeted Turtles”. Shaleen has published over 18 books, primarily for children and young adults. Bored during the pandemic lockdown, Shaleen enrolled in several screenwriting courses and is now credited with two award-winning short films featured in international festivals.
