Description
No one in the Psychology Department likes Charlotte Clark, so no one is particularly upset when she is found murdered in the department’s computer lab. But because she discovered the body, Professor Pamela Barnes feels obligated to find Charlotte’s killer, and when she discovers an accidental recording of the murder Pamela begins her own investigation using her expertise in acoustics. As she gets deeper and deeper into her analysis--she gets closer and closer to the killer, who unbeknownst to her, is observing her every effort, and resolving to stop her. Patricia Rockwell is the author of the Pamela Barnes Acoustic Mystery series and the Essie Cobb Senior Sleuth Mystery series. She is a retired University professor who lives in a Chicago suburb with her husband Milt.

Most "cozies" follow an amateur sleuth who typically outwits the regular police using their unique job skills or knowledge.
