Author Biography
Sylfest Lomheim, born in 1945, a wellknown Norwegian academic, professor of linguistics and translation theory. Member of the group of three experts (chosen by the Bible Society) who wrote the new version of the gospels, as part of the last translation of the Bible, published in 2011.
Lomheim was the first director of the Norwegian Language Council, from 2003 to 2011; in 1997 he was state secretary of the Government.
After his retirement, he has written two novels – Son of Man being the last of them.
