Author Biography
Kaitlin Solimine is an award winning writer, bilingual mother, and childbirth activist. She has a BA from Harvard University and was a Fulbright Creative Arts Fellow. Her novel, Empire of Glass, was shortlisted for the Center of Fiction First Novel prize. Her writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, National Geographic, and Guernica Magazine, among others.
Her work focuses on exploration, expatriate culture, US-China relations, environmental issues, and motherhood. She has lived around the world—from New England to China to Costa Rica to Singapore to San Francisco—and is co-founder of the academic media platform Hippo Reads.
Her tale for children Sleeping Stones is based on Chinese mythology.
