The book reads great and I can recommend it not only to lovers of the topic, but to anyone who wants to understand who the Slavs were and are, and to what extent their beliefs and culture have survived to modern times. Personally, I was surprised to discover the genesis of many customs and rituals cultivated to this day, although mistakenly associated with the Christian tradition.
Author Biography
Born 1949, Professor of humanities, employee of the Institute of Polish Philology at the University of Gdańsk. He deals with the history of literature of Young Poland, as well as Slavic mythology in literature, regional literature of Kashubia and Kociewie, editing, and literary criticism. He is the author, editor and co-editor of nearly fifty books, including fifteen original ones.
